The One-Dollar Lesson
Bargain-bin find: Green Rubber Bone
If you know Monte, you know he has a serious weakness for new toys. And honestly, sometimes I have a moment of weakness, too.

I walked past a bargain bin the other day and spotted a green rubber bone for just one dollar. Even though I know better, and I always try to be intentional about what we bring into our home, I had a moment of weakness.
As soon as Monte set his eyes on it, he went absolutely nuts. He was so excited to get his paws on his new possession.
But unfortunately, this instantly turned into one of those classic “you get what you pay for” moments.
Short-Lived Excitement
Monte isn’t even a real heavy chewer, but within just a few minutes of having it, the issues started. I was sitting right there with him, and just as he was trying to make the bone squeak, I realised he had already managed to bite a whole corner straight off. It happened in the blink of an eye.

A MonteCaro REMINDER
When a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is. No matter how much willpower we lose in the moment, paying close attention to the quality and materials of the toys we buy is so important for keeping our dogs safe.
Sometimes, investing a little more in safe, durable designs is the only real bargain!
