I bought the Kmart Rectangle Ultra Tough Dog Bed out of desperation during Monte’s puppyhood. I needed two things: affordability and washability. Three years later, this budget find has proven to be an absolute survivor and a daily staple.

Is the Kmart Ultra Tough Dog Bed Actually Chew-Proof?

Let’s be real, no dog bed is 100% indestructible against a determined teething puppy. Monte chewed all four corners during his early months, but I got to it in time. Thankfully the heavy-duty canvas fabric didn’t fray or let him reach the dangerous stuffing. A few quick stitches gave it an easy three-year second life.

The cover washes beautifully, stays cool in the Sydney heat, and is so comfortable that my cats try to steal it the second Monte gets up. It has become his ultimate crash pad, especially when he needs a proper reset after a high-drive session chasing his CollieBall Herding Ball.
