Paws and Claws ‘Tug of War’ Toy: A Real Crowd-Pleaser
Battle Tested: Paws and Claws ‘Tug of War’ (with Internal Squeaker Ball)
Monte’s Verdict 🐾: [ THE CUT ]
The Raw Truth
If the Fetch Flyer was a miss, this Tug of War toy is a total home run! The material is top-notch; it has survived everything from muddy days at the dog park to high-heat cycles in the wash without falling apart.
The hidden squeaky ball inside is the real secret to its success. You can swing and throw this thing surprisingly well. However, the best part is definitely Monte’s “victory lap.” Once he fetches it, he gets all cheeky! He will toss it into the air himself a few times or just stand there happily squeaking the ball. Finally, he will bring it back to go again.
WHY IT WORKS
- Solo Play: It has become one of those toys that keeps him entertained even when I am not the one pulling.
- Durable Design: The material is tough enough for daily outdoor sessions and repeated washes.
- Multi-Purpose: It’s great for tugging, but the weight makes it fun to throw as well.
The Bottom Line
This is a fantastic all-rounder. It is durable, fun to throw, and includes a squeaker that actually lasts. If you are looking at this brand, skip the flyer and put your money toward this instead. It is a daily staple in our backyard.
Full Disclosure: Not sponsored. I bought this toy because I liked the look of it, and Monte liked the sound of it. I’m just sharing what survived the “Monte test” so you can find the good stuff faster.
Does your dog have a “victory lap” move?
Monte loves to show off his catch by tossing it in the air and squeaking it for a while before he even thinks about bringing it back to me. It’s his favorite part of the game with this particular toy!
I would love to hear about your dog’s weirdest play habits – or if you have found a toy that has actually survived a “heavy chewer” in your house.
